We recognize that sports equipment is more than just something that gets stocked on the shelves. Hockey skates aren't just blades attached to boots; they're a tool that enables hockey to be one of the most exciting sports in the world. Bicycles aren't just light-weight frames with handlebars; they're freedom and happiness on wheels. We could go on and on, but you get the point.

The better the equipment works for you, the more you can enjoy your favorite sport. We all participate in sports for different reasons. However, one thing remains the same among all of us. We all want to get better at favorite sport so that we can enjoy it even more than we already do. Our mission is to help you become the athlete you want to be. That's why our motto is "Better Equipment. Better Athletes." The 4 Pillars below are how we can help you become the athlete you want to be.

You can get what you want here. Do you want to just come in and grab something off the shelf for a great price? No problem. Do you want to come in, have us steer you in the right direction, and modify your product? Again, no problem. We can provide you with exactly what you want out of a sporting goods store.

The most important thing to us is to do what's best for our customers. For example, it's a well-known secret that many big box retailers and major online sites stock products of inferior quality. Their products compared to our products may look the exact same on the outside, but you'd see major differences if you were to cut the products in half. Manufacturers get around this by having slightly different model numbers (e.g., 4531 vs. 4531c). Here at The Hockey Shop, we pay more for the better product while keeping the prices the same.

We go one step further. We provide excellent skate sharpening, bike tune-ups, bike riding programs, i and much more!  That's something most other stores (online or not) can't offer.

Equipment, whether it be skates, shoulder pads, or bicycles, needs to fit your body for it to work properly. Although online shopping is great in many ways, it simply cannot replace a fundamental part of shopping: actually seeing and trying the products.
